Drugs of Abuse Tests

BAR

The barbiturate test system is a device intended to measure barbiturates, a class of hypnotic and sedative drugs, in urine. Measurements obtained by this device are used in the diagnosis and treatment of barbiturate use or overdose and in monitoring levels of barbiturate to ensure appropriate therapy. The cutoff of the test is 300 ng/ml of barbiturates. It is the same as the SAMHSA recommended assay cutoff.
